The ArcheAge franchise, developed by XL Games, is produced by Jake Song, co-founder of Nexon, who is known as the mastermind behind multiple games developed by Nexon in its early days. There are also multiple events and rewards to celebrate the launch of the game. Players will be able to sync their progress between the different platforms. In comparison to the original PC game, which focused on the city-building aspect more than the battles, ArcheAge War emphasizes war - hence the name - and will take place in an open world where players are given maximum freedom in what they choose to do within the game, using familiar characters and fictional universe from ArcheAge. “ArcheAge War is a mobile-desktop cross-platform MMORPG that is based on the IP of the popular PC game ArcheAge,” the publisher told the Korea JoongAng Daily on Tuesday.
